Campervan Project
I always wanted a proper campervan of my own, so I saved up and with some help from mom aswell, I brought one second hand 8 seater van from a lady in Macduff, Scotland. A 2003 Toyota Alphard. She used it for transporting sailors to and from the Airport and as a disabled car for herself and family, so it was used daily. I thought, this could be a campervan with a bit of TLC!.
She was selling for £2000, but she dropped it down to £1500, I was amazed how cheap it was....that's where the fun begins 😉😫, it drove okay, but some things weren't quite right. I'm still working on it, but it's coming together now and hopefully 🤞 I'll have myself a campervan in 2026😉.

Headlight level adjuster- VERY RUSTY!

And the connectors were broken and snapped
Front arm bush (rear) - not sure its ever been changed
Front shocks were beyond saving - RUST RUST RUST
That’s one dirty Air Filter!, now replaced with a K&N Filter
The spare wheel, they didn’t realise they had! RUST RUST RUST!
45ah battery with Japanese 🇯🇵 connections
Bumper removed …oh look…more rust! & lots of random wires!
Heater blower was making a loud noise….removed and oiled.
Windscreen washer bottle cracked
Fuel Pump - oh look…rust!
Gearbox & filter - 22 year old & never changed
Japanese 🇯🇵 Radio - No English, it still played FM..soon had it out!
Ripping all the flooring out and seats too, kept carpet as template.
